Black Creek Drainage Movie
6:35 pm in News, North by Theron
I finally got around to finishing my movie on 2009′s trip into the Black Creek Drainage. We shot about 30 minutes of video footage and I used about half of it. That’s a pretty high ratio. Well, it was hard to get a bad shot in that wild part of the range. This video also include footage of two remote climbs in the area: Peak “I” and “The Elephant”.
That was awesome! Gives you a great feel for the remoteness of the range. I can’t wait to go there summer, 2011.
awesome trails, creeks, rocks, beautiful nature (bugs included), can’t wait to experience something like that, hopefully next year, summer 2011. Great video, Theron.
Really enjoyed that. Interesting to find it, b/c I had previously identified Bubble Lake (& Black Lake) as an especially remote destination I would love to hike to. So to see a videolog of the very trip was a surprise! Only question it left me with was whether or not there are any fish to be caught in Bubble Lake (since you guys didn’t wet a line).
Great job, and thanks again.
Tremendous video, Theron! It was probably around fall when I last logged in, and definitely hadn’t seen the video before. Great to see some live action in these places. That is a really nice trip report. And since I’ve not commented before, you’ve got a real whopper of a site, and i thank you for all the great information and imagery.
Magnificent, great film, how long does it take to travel. Any suggestions for a group who can hike much but wanted some great views.
How does this area compare to RM Nat. Park? That is the only place I have been. I am from Kansas. I love to hike, but my party will have members who can not. Any suggestions?
