    Hey everybody,

    Looking for some suggestions for good car camping spots that would serve as a good jumping-off point for a couple day trips. Location, scenery and solitude outweigh facilities. This is our first trip to the Gore Range, so we’re open to exploring any region of the range. Also, any “you’ve gotta do this” day trip suggestions would be great. We’re both very experienced back country climbers, so don’t hold back on the difficulty scale.

    You’ve come to the right place for location, scenery, and solitude. I can’t really think of any one day trip that outweighs any other, but why not try a hike up Mount Powell or a climb up Peak “C” to start your experiences with the Gore Range? You’ll get some great vistas (especially from Powell) and maybe that’ll give you ideas for future trips too. Approach from Piney Lake.
