Hiking the Gore Range: 9 months, 1 week ago · ViewI am planning to go from Brush Creek, up Black Creek, and over to Piney, then up Piney and over to Booth, and out to the Booth Creek TH. BUT – can I get over to Piney from the SOUTH fork of Black Creek? I think I maybe could if Jim Gabriel would agree to lead the trip….
Maybe we take turns leading. There’s a slight saddle east of ”H” that has potential. I would love to climb ”Straight Arrow” to the summit of ”H.” I don’t know how much snow will be left, but I’d be willing to have a look. It was pretty fat a few weeks ago. There’s 2 options right there. That puts us right at Upper Piney. Oh, what about hitting June Pass and hitting ”G” and Black BM? I don’t think I can pull it off until the beginning of October though. I call it 3 days. You know the time frame better to the upper South fork. This sounds really cool!!! I’m gonna start looking at my pics.
Will definitely be more of a challenge than going over Kneeknocker, guys. Sounds fantastic!
