Let the snowshoeing begin! Snow in the Gore Range as of about 1-2 hours ago… Hopefully the winter 2010/11 forecasts are right and we are going to have above average precip, slightly colder than average temps. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Climbing and Scrambling in the Gore Range: 2 years, 8 months agoI have been up Hail Peak 3 times this season. His first 7/7/10 ascent was on the north face. Apparently he is trying to get to it in all matter of fashion. I don’t sign those things, but went up with D. Goldwater this spring, then lead two trips up to it with others, both [...]

This past week, a long but good one. Aug 5th, Booth Lake patrol work. Aug 9th, Mount Powell. Aug 10th, Snow/Hail/Zodiac View. In between I had day hikes that focused on mushrooming. What a season we are having, and NAMA is going on right now in Winter Park. Boom, great year for hiking and mycology.
